You were a good ole fashioned square dancing champion from Gainesville, Georgia with the best dresses in the bunch.

I had never seen so many dresses in my life.

You let us try every single one on.

We would walk in your high heels and twirl the tool around until we fell over, we were so dizzy.

You would sit and watch Power Rangers with us until we fell asleep.

You would hug us the minute you caught our eye and we would walk away smelling like you for hours.

You would pinch and kiss our cheeks and leave a light pink residue that we always hated.

We would sit and listen to your stories, hanging on every word because we knew something crazy was about to happen and we didn’t want to miss a minute.

You were one of the strongest women I had ever met who knew what she wanted and wouldn’t let anyone take it away.

You were my role model.

All I wanted to do was to be as funny, witty, sweet, kind, and charming as you were.

You were a dancer, a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, and the craziest character I have ever met.

I would give anything to be wiping that pink lipstick off my cheek right now.

I will miss you every day and you will always be in my heart.

I know you are in a better place, but at the age of 92 you still went too early.

Thank You Aunt Mont.
